Our game last night ended on what could have been in one of those “World’s craziest videos” TV shows. You know the ones where one team is chasing the ref around the field - that is what happened.
Our opponents got a red card in the 2nd half. Their coach jogged all the way across the field and head-butted the ref. The scene that followed was this whole team chasing the ref around the field. It was chaos for a few minutes. The PD had to show up - they caught up to the head-butter a block away from the field.
We were up 1-0 at the time. That was the end of the game - and hopefully their season.
I just installed good ol StarCraft Battle Chest tonight. We’re gonna try to get some guys together at work to get a game in once a week or so. The more the merrier - so get out your old discs and get it installed.
For some reason today I started to wonder how much money I could have saved over my lifetime (so far) if I had cut one single activity out of my life. Example: how much money would have I saved if I had never shit in my life time. Money saved would be on toilet paper and water for flushing the shitter. I suppose diapers would count too.
I will assume that all money spent could be saved as a single total. My parents did pay for my diapers + toilet paper + water for a long time. I will just include how much they could have saved into a single total.
Without doin any math to calculate # of diapers used, # of flushes and number of TP rolls used I’m just going to come up with a wild guess.

Maybe later I will actually think about it, do some research and do some math to come up with a more accurate number. Do you think my number is too high? too low?

A month or so ago I found some useful information no thanks to any of you. Apples keep doctors away. I don’t like doctors –> I should like apples. I began buying apples and having one almost every day. I’ve eaten a lot of those Granny Smith suckers until recently I tried those Braebrun that was recomended - and they sucked. I didn’t give up though. Yesterday I bought an Apples Fugi and I’m finally eating it right now.
Before today I didn’t think the Granny Smiths could be beat. I may be wrong, the Apples Fugi are pretty damm good. I’m gonna try all the kinds that the grocery store sells and I’m really looking forward to Honeycrisp later this fall. It is too early to decide if Fugi beats Granny’s - so here is my list of appley goodness in descending order

oh - and one thing to keep in mind - ignore the color. Some of those have color and some don’t. When I get the armor it won’t have any color but I’ll be able to dye it whatever color I want.
I strolled through the science fiction/fantasy section at Barnes & Noble today. I really wanted to pick something up - but I had no idea what to get. I thought about buying one of the books below. I read The Sword of Shannara a long time ago but don’t remember a lot about it other than I really liked it. I started reading the other one more recently - but still quite a while ago.
I know some of the faithful have read some good fantasy stuff. I’m just looking for some recommendations. I really need a book that I can start reading only to be forgotten about due to lots of Guild Wars….
Remember Magic The Gathering - the card game - that I dominated you at? It must be about 10 years since the last time I played a serious game of Magic The Gathering. Apparently they’ve been producing new sets since we used to play and now there are over 2 million different sets. Well maybe not that many but there are a lot. I think they are up over 10th edition and there are tons of named sets.
Now you can also buy pre-built theme decks. I remember the starter decks that were just a random mix of everything that was hardly playable out of the box. Now those pre-built decks will probably kick ass on my decks that haven’t been changed in over 10 years. Yeah - I still have my decks put together.
Recently I got to talking to a co-worker who also used to play. We decided we needed to polish off the old Magic cards and give it a go again. I think today I’m going to take my black/blue deck into battle. Just for shits and giggles here is the deck:

I totally expect to get my ass kicked. The one thing that might save me is that I think I will be up against a red deck - which is probably the best situation for me with this black/blue deck. We’ll see.

My Guild Wars addiction is killing me. I haven’t been to work in over a week, I’m pretty sure I’ve been fired by now. I rarely leave time for myself to even eat anymore. I’ve got so many no-doze and other keep-me-awake pill bottles around you can’t walk through my room without stepping on one. I’ve lost almost 50 pounds in the last month from just sitting on my ass. I finally started making sure I drink enough water so I don’t get dehydrated. All because of Guild Wars.
All of that and I still suck at the game. I still need to get guild mates to get me through the tougher missions towards the end of each chapter. I still have not beaten Eye of the North. Finally got Factions last night and Nightfall a few days earlier.
It is official - Guild Wars is on top of my most addicting games list - and here is the list:
