I’ve recently been going to Starbucks or Caribou coffee with co-workers every once in a while. Not that our office has moved right across the street from a Hornbachers with a Caribou inside, we’ve been going more often. I don’t need to have a $50/month coffee habit, I don’t even like the stuff that much. So I bought a sampler pack of tea to have instead of coffee. Its cheaper, better for you, and the most consumed liquid drink on the planet. (maybe non-alcoholic liquid?).
Anyway, these sampler packs are pretty small and there are a ton of different brands at the grocery store. I had an idea to make a tea review website. Here is the thing. I drink tea out of the same mug that I make oatmeal in the morning in. It is also the same mug that works as my water cup. I also fill it up with cranberry juice quite often. So when I go to make tea I have to wash the last bit of cranberry juice out of it. That doesn’t sound like the setup someone should have if they are going to run a tea review website.
What the fuck do I know about tea anyway? Most of the flavored ones taste like horse shit. The regular green tea ones are pretty good. I thought Pomegranite Raspberry tea would be good but I’m about to puke.
Might do that website anyway - I could go thru a lot of brands of tea quick if I have one each day at work. Maybe you want to join me in doing tea reviews?!?!?

I love me some tea… count me in! I am pretty much a green tea fan but I also like Moroccan Pomegranate Red tea… Don’t know if you would find it as disgusting as you do the Pomegranate Raspberry but I think it is pretty delicious. Hmmm tea, might go brew me a cup right now!!!
excellent - i’ll send you an invite if/when i do set up something.
I would be happy to join.
You need to try some Pi Lo Chin Green Tea - since you like green tea you will love this - high quality is a must though.
“This famous rare green tea comes from the mountains of Dongting near Wuxi, west of Shanghai. It is grown in an area surrounded by peach, plum and apricot trees. The tea absorbs the fruity aromas of the region and has a unique, delicate and sweet taste. This rare tea is made only once a year from the tenderest shoots – silvery down of unopened buds and one single leaf half unfurled. The leaf is tiny and comes out spiral shaped. Since this tea is so delicate and is curled into snail-like shapes, it had been given the name ‘Bi Lo Chun’ which literally translates as “Green Snail Spring”.
Also, I have a very good Oolong and a Flowery Peoke white tea (tastes kind of like lavander), anyway, I will make sure to get you some of the green tea next weekend when I see you - and the others if you want.
I have many other recommendations if you want them.
I should clarify that it is only considered rare because it is only harvested in limited quantities once a year - not because it is a rare or endangered species.
