I’m not a Bruce Springsteen fan in any way – but I found this in a search for Tom Morello. Check it out, its a weird version of a familiar song. Let me know what you think. I’m undecided but I bet a lot of the usual KP reader will really like this.

You do know that this song is originally Bruce Springsteen’s right? He put it out in 95 and RATM covered it….
Weird. I did not know that – like I said I’m no Bruce Springsteen fan.
this is a fantastic song and i think it’s a beautiful performance. i didn’t used to be a fan of bruce springsteen’s music until i heard the ghost of tom joad album. it’s really good. it’s one of the few examples i know of a mainstream musician singing about oppressed communities, particularly immigrant folks. the album devils and dust, a more recent springsteen album, is similar.
have you ever listened to the nightwatchman? it’s tom morello and it’s political and awesome. it’s seems to be influenced by woody guthrie. anyway, check it out.
p.s.
check out the video and the song ‘the road i must travel.’ is is so good!
I did check that out and it led me to some really cool stuff. Watch these in order:

That is some really neat stuff. I’ve always wanted to know how to play a piano but this is the first thing I’ve seen that has made me wish I could play a guitar.
Are you going to RATM next month in MPLS???
Don’t current have plans (or money) to
